WISTRA CZ provides commerce representation for the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic of Vetreria Etrusca S.r.l., Italian glass manufacturer of jars and bottles for food use.

History

The Company began trading in September 1951 with 4 tonne furnace producing green glass. The next years saw a massive increase in the production of Tuscan flasks and other new items noted for the innovation and originality of their design. In 1980´ the Vetreria Etrusca was the first company to introduce original and exclusive shapes and designs of bottles for olive oil, and jars for jams and pickles. In 1994 Vetreria Etrusca purchased a new factory and transferred its production to Altare (Savona). With a daily production capacity of 100 tonnes and two colors, half-green and extra white flint, the company developed many new articles for its worldwide markets. In 2000, Vetreria Etrusca began production of a third color, Verdetrusco, specially developed for the wine market. The furnace was rebuilt with an increased capacity of 130 tonnes per day.

Its workforce is about 130 employees. An average production is 130 tonnes per day in three production lines. It produces three glass colors: Extra white flint, Half-white and Verdetrusco in more then 1000 shapes.

Vetreria Etrusca has in its catalogue a wide range of shapes and styles and is also capable of producing, for our customers, personalized designs of bottles and jars in small quantities.

Personalized and Exclusive Containers

Vetreria Etrusca can create an exclusive container, different from all the rest, which will convey your brand’s unique identity. In a world which is full of imitations a personalized glass container, whether bottle or jar, with clear brand identity is one of the most effective ways to combat plagiarism in the speciality and luxury markets.

Vetreria Etrusca creates new bottle and jar designs for our customers for a number of reasons: to create a unique and exclusive shape, to pack and preserve the product more efficiently and due to our ability to produce small quantities.

Vetreria Etrusca can also personalize items from our own production by applying a logo to the shoulder, body, base or neck finish of the container. To fully understand your requirements we must first define the characteristics of the container, capacity (ml), glass color and closure which allow us to establish the technical feasibility of the item and to make a realistic offer. When a personalized glass container is chosen Vetreria Etrusca creates a technical drawing from the brief, this is then subject to customer approval. If necessary, and upon request, it is possible to create a prototype container in either wood or Plexiglas before glass production.
